Trial and Error

"The world's first human embryonic stem cell trial." Yes, you read aright. You may have been led to believe that this "research" was already on the cusp of curing Pakinson's, Alzheimer's, and anything else you care to mention. But not so. Who knew?

Nothing will come of this, and everyone knows it. The whole thing is about nothing more than annoying the Catholic Church. You know, the Catholic Church that educated a very high number of those who feel the need to do this.

Meanwhile, adult and cord blood stem cell research - well-advanced, ethically unproblematic, and highly effective - struggles to secure either funding or publicity.
