- Did student Dave join the Federation of Conservative Students' (FCS, predecessor of Conservative Future) deliberate boycott-of-the-boycott on Barclays Bank?
- Did student Dave instead oppose the Federation of Conservative Students' boycott-of-the-boycott?
- What was graduate Dave's position on Apartheid South Africa?
- How did Dave publicly or privately oppose Tory policy vis-à-vis the scourge of Apartheid?
- What was Dave's position on sports tours to South Africa?
- Does Dave endorse his likely mayoral candidate (and Oxford and FCS colleague) Boris Johnson's many marvellous insights into Africa and African questions?"
Quite. But I'm rather surprised to learn that Cameron was ever a member of the FCS. Like Blair, he was totally non-political deep into his twenties, and has no real interest in politics, as such, even now.
Meanwhile, is anyone going to come on here and defend the British Right's long love affair with a Boer Republic set up as an explicit act of anti-British revenge in a former Dominion of the Crown by people who had been interred for pro-Nazi activities during the War, which Republic propped up a regime treasonable against the Queen, a regime which in fact purported to depose Her Majesty a mere five years into its life?

Thanks for the link. Not at all sure he was in FCS. Much of this period is shrouded in mystery - for the time being, though I'm sensing runaway tongues will perform to order when Tories want rid. Have however seen various hints that he may have been rather unsympathetic to the NUS boycott on Barclays. And I've seen no protests from Cameron Central that it ain't so.
