The United Arab Emirates has restricted its funding of students who wanted to study in Britain, for fear that they might be radicalised by the Muslim Brotherhood. You will remember the Emiratis. The Statute Law had to be changed to stop them from buying two small circulation newspapers and a tiny circulation magazine because the writers on those moved in the same social circles as both front benches, although one of those writers has since moved to Dubai. She now files her copy from that country, where trade unions and political parties are illegal.
Throughout, though, Britain has armed the UAE while it has armed the Rapid Support Forces, as is now before the International Court of Justice. Via the British-armed RSF, the UAE is in the process of taking colonial possession of much of Sudan, in a grand old tradition of Gulf potentates in East Africa. Denial is a river in Sudan. The UAE has also declared “the State of South Arabia” in South Yemen. All in all, it is pretty radical on its own. And there’s more, with a lot more to come.
Meanwhile, British intelligence created the Muslim Brotherhood in order to destabilise Arab nationalism in Egypt, just as the British created or indulged numerous Islamist opponents of the campaign for Indian independence, just as the Americans effectively created what became the Taliban, just as Israel created Hamas against Fatah, and so on. We are still at it. The People’s Mojahedin Organisation of Iran (Mojahedin-e-Khalq) is all over the Iranian dissident networks that have emerged onto the streets of London.
The PMOI/MEK is the weirdest political cult in the world. It has been based in exile since 1981, leaving it no constituency in a country of which half the population was under 30, yet the longstanding neoconservative and liberal-interventionist aim was to install it in Tehran, so the Americans relocated it to Albania between 2013 and 2016. It remains there, not without local resistance, while also maintaining a considerable presence in the France of Emmanuel Macron, as well as an office in Cricklewood.
Consider how the world turns, since that outfit was headquartered for many years in Saddam Hussein’s Iraq, where it participated in atrocities committed by the Iraqi Revolutionary Guard. During the Iraq War, Biden’s, Bush’s and Blair’s Boys bombed the PMOI/MEK into surrender, as part of a deal with Iran to hand over certain al-Qaeda suspects who were of course in any case opponents of the Iranian regime. Oh, how the world does turn. Opponents of the Iraq War were screamed down as Islamists and revolutionary Marxists due to the presence of a few of each in our enormous ranks. But these people really did and do manage the remarkable feat of being both, yet they were nevertheless closely allied to Saddam Hussein. Their leader, Maryam Rajavi, may be banned from the United Kingdom, but she had an op-ed in Wednesday’s Daily Telegraph. You know, the one that the Emiratis were banned by law from acquiring.
Here we go again. Successive British Governments transformed Manchester into the world centre of the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group that went on to bomb Manchester Arena. Britain invaded Libya in order to install such people as its new regime. From the ensuing civil war, the Royal Navy rescued both Salman Abedi, who went on to carry out that bombing, killing himself in the process, and his brother Hashem, who went on to be a key figure in the planning of that bombing, and who in April of this year threw hot cooking oil over, and stabbed with makeshift knives, three Prison Officers at HMP Frankland, members of our community here in County Durham.
Having cultivated the Abedis and El-Fattah, MI5 and MI6 have just been granted new powers to spy on Members of Parliament without the permission of the Prime Minister. All right, they have always done that. But even the formal propriety has been removed. It is no wonder that the Manchester Arena families want MI5, MI6 and GCHQ to be covered by the Hillsborough Law, but no one would rate their chances. MI5 lied to the public inquiry into the Manchester Arena attack, and the relevant agencies will lie to any public inquiry into an attack in Britain by their pet Iranians. We never learn.
I still think you should be an MP.
