Persian Excursion?

That nasty Elon Musk whose Twitter or X we must ban in Britain, could he be the nice Elon Musk whose Starlink was circumventing the Internet blackout in Iran? Now let all of that sink in. There is a lot.

However welcome the fall of the Iranian regime may be, it would immediately result in a civil war in the world's seventeenth largest and seventeenth most populous country, at the crossroads of Asia. If either the absolute monarchists around Reza Pahlavi, or the Islamo-Marxists of the PMOI/MEK, were to take over, then that would be at least a three-way civil war. If someone else did, then it would be at least a four-way civil war. That may already have begun. Buckle up.

Old armchair warriors for freedom and democracy who now supported princely absolutism for 92 million people, further comment on you would be superfluous. The same ought to be true of old shriekers about "Islamo-Marxists" and "Saddamists" who were now looking to real Islamo-Marxists, who were still spending Saddam Hussein's money, to deliver "a democratic, secular, non-nuclear Iran". You profess not to like state secularism in Britain, or even in the United States despite often having chosen to move there, and from your own point of view, why should a democratic Iran not have nuclear weapons?

As for taking out the sponsor of Islamist terrorism on the streets of Britain, that would be the unmentionable Saudi Arabia.
