On The Right Track

Even with a majority of the Government's size, the Conservative disaffection with HS2 could prove to be considerable.

For the time being, Jeremy Corbyn remains the Leader of the Labour Party, so there remains some small hope that Labour support for HS2 might be made conditional on all of this (PDF) as well.

Together with the assurance that the bridge from Scotland to Ireland would be rail as well as road, and together with tangible proof that that the Prime Minister really was as "passionate about buses" as he had said that he was.

But very small hope it is. I will be standing for Parliament again here at North West Durham next time, so please give generously. In any event, please email davidaslindsay@hotmail.com. Very many thanks.
