Getting Going

Boris Johnson could not answer Jeremy Corbyn on whether an American-born, white, blond boy who had dabbled in drugs and who had then conspired to have a man beaten up would be deported.

Then Johnson could not answer Corbyn on Anne Sacoolas and Harry Dunn, and Corbyn even forced him to offer some hope on Britain's one-sided extradition arrangements with the United States.

And then, jaw-droppingly, Corbyn asked Johnson about Julian Assange. Nor was the answer the one that we might have expected.

Corbyn should now do as no British MP has done, although Andrew Wilkie MP is on the way from Australia at his own expense, and visit Assange in Belmarsh.

Corbyn is getting going just as he is about to get going. But he will be gone soon, and none of the candidates to succeed him is up to much. The frontrunner was the author of Assange's misfortune.

I will be standing for Parliament again here at North West Durham next time, so please give generously. In any event, please email davidaslindsay@hotmail.com. Very many thanks.
