Working Time, Indeed

Excellent news that Labour has commissioned Lord Skidelsky to undertake an inquiry into Shorter Working Time. Like two Nobel Laureates in Economics, he endorsed Jeremy Corbyn for Leader.

The Conservatives and the Labour Right think that Economics is their thing, and very much their trump card, but they have no one of remotely that calibre.

I myself organised a letter that was published in The Times on 18th August 2015 over a list on names the like of which none of Corbyn’s rivals for the Leadership or the Premiership could begin to imagine.

“I warm to its spirit. It represents an important strand of thinking and feeling in our country which we ignore at our peril.”

So says Professor Robert Skidelsky FBA, Lord Skidelsky; Emeritus Professor of Political Economy in the University of Warwick; author of Keynes: The Return of the Master; co-author of How Much is Enough? The Love of Money and the Case for the Good Life.

When did he say that? You will very soon find out.
