Some of us have been trying for years to explain that support for the present Israeli Government was in fact nothing more than a fairly minor part of our foreign policy Establishment's bought and paid for subservience to Saudi Arabia.
The Dishonourable Member for Riyadh, Mike Gapes, and the Dishonourable Member for Kiryat Arba, Ian Austin, have been discharged from the Foreign Affairs Select Committee. But have they been replaced with anyone better?
Another hung Parliament is coming, however, and we need our people to hold the balance of power in it. It has become a local commonplace that I am on 30-30-30 with Labour and the Conservatives here at North West Durham, so that any one of us could be the First Past the Post.
