Hall of Shame

I am trying to come to terms with the fact that Pearl Jam and Tupac Shakur are now eligible for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

But it seems to induct one rap or hip hop act per year in order to distract attention from the absence of black artists who were closer to its nominal remit.

The injustice against Chubby Checker, in particular, is quite beyond outrageous.

At this rate, he will be lucky to be asked to give the speech at the induction of the Fat Boys.
