Putting Trump Right

Michael Brendan Dougherty joins the rest of the paleo boys in begging for a vote for anyone apart from Donald Trump.

One of that movement's grand old men, Colonel Professor Bacevich, spells out how and why the very existence of a constitutional republic would be jeopardised by Trump as Commander-in-Chief.

And Daniel McCarthy tweets that he has voted for Bernie Sanders.

Alas, he has presumably done so in Virginia, so we cannot yet say that The American Conservative is edited by a registered Democrat. But give that one a bit of time.

Trump now has the distinction of being endorsed both by David Duke and by Louis Farrakhan, both of whom are banned from entering the United Kingdom.

Yet this time next year, his finger could be on the Trident button.

Think on.
