Godfrey Bloom is the fourth - fourth - MEP to have left UKIP in the course of the present European Parliament.
Still, at least he has not been sent to prison, unlike two - two - of his partisans during the last one.
UKIP has also gained one MEP. Roger Helmer, who was elected as a Conservative.
In common with several members of his former party in the European Parliament, Helmer is a member of the American Legislative Exchange Council. See here.
Heaven knows how that goes down with his Chief Whip, a UKIP founder-member who is obsessed with the Bilderberg Group. To reiterate, such a person is that party's Chief Whip.
I have no desire to see UKIP fall apart until it has assisted Labour in removing every MEP of either Coalition party from all three Northern English regions, a perfectly realistic aspiration next year.
But whether or not UKIP's own members are prepared to wait that long, is a great deal less than immediately apparent.
