Mess

Yesterday, Prince Charles became the oldest ever Heir to the Throne.

Prince William looks likely to become Heir at almost exactly the time that dozens of his Eton contemporaries will become Conservative MPs, at the 2020 Election.

Most of those will then remain in Parliament for 30 or 40 years, probably well into his reign.

While hung Parliaments seem set to become far more common, giving a middle-aged and articulate King a huge amount of say over the choice of Prime Minister.

Think on.
