Tense

"I am a Labour Minister in a Labour Government, campaigning for the re-election of a Labour Government", insisted Lord Adonis on The Politics Show. So he is, at the present time. But that didn't even begin to answer the question. Nor did "I would not serve in a Conservative Government", also a clever (if strictly accurate) choice of tense, and ignoring the strong possibility of a hung Parliament. But the real story is that the question was felt worth putting at all...

  1. Welcome Back.
The worst possible result would be a hung parliament and a National Coalition for Recovery or some such glib term. It would comprise Blairites and Cameronians...not that theres muc difference anyway.
With the Libs and old Labour marginalised.....it would be tempting to say that "we are all in it together".
With no effective voice the working class would be victims of it all.

    A parliament without an Opposition?
Well its what was imposed on Norn Iron.
    Karma is great.
