"Not A Scientific Sample"
So there you have it. The BBC doesn't even deny it. Thursday's Question Time audience will be packed (Holocaust survivors, &c). Well, of course it will be. It always is. Like opinion polls, its role in relation to public opinion is one, not of reflection, but of influence. I am very glad if people are influenced against the BNP. But that is not what the Question Time audience is supposed to be for. Is it? Except, of course, that it is. It always has been.
