Gosh. David Blunkett has just told Newsnight that if he had known then what he knew now, then he would not have supported the Iraq War. Now pose that same question to his protégé, Andy Burnham.
Everyone knows that the attacks of 11 September 2001 came from Saudi Arabia. Some of the survivors' relatives said so today in New York. One of the Saudis' al-Qaeda and IS proxies is now the President of Syria, and we are supposed to be delighted. The Houthis are fighting the Saudis in Yemen and we are supposed to be appalled. Such are the predictable and predicted disappointments of Donald Trump.
What would Trump do if the Republicans did win the midterms after all? Would he pay the Trump Dividend? How? But if he did not, then there would be riots in the streets, and a whole lot worse.
This is surely all part of the alternative quantitative easing that is going on right now? (The US government wants QE, but Fed chairman Warsh is dead against it.)
