British Gas today carried out the biggest mass dismissal in living memory, sacking hundreds of its engineers for their refusal to accept vastly inferior contracts.
Fire and rehire must be banned. It was pioneered at Christmas 2016 by Durham County Council in relation to its Teaching Assistants.
