Don't Bail On This

On this second anniversary of the abduction of Julian Assange, consider that he is a Commonwealth citizen resident in the United Kingdom, and that he is not legally serving a prison sentence either in the United Kingdom or in the Irish Republic.

Therefore, he is eligible to contest an election to the House of Commons. He ought to announce that he would be doing so at Holborn and St Pancras, against the man who had done so much to put him where he was, Keir Starmer.

Moreover, the Government ought to announce immediately that Assange would be released unconditionally unless Anne Sacoolas were handed over within seven days.
