Conscience Claws

It has come to something when one has to say anything nice about Amnesty International. But it has at least revoked its Prisoner of Conscience status from Alexei "Cockroaches" Navalny. He had no more claim to it than "Tommy Robinson" had had. Neoliberal and neoconservative opinion of Navalny is clearly shifting towards reality.

Leading us to the ongoing events in Georgia, where, in marked contrast to Navalny's pretensions in Russia, the nearest thing to a Leader of the Opposition really is the former President, Mikheil Saakashvili.

Saakashvili, however, lives in Ukraine, of which he is also now a citizen, and where he leads an extremely minor opposition party but has served as Governor of Odessa in the past. Wayne Madsen sets out how very common that kind of thing is on the Right. National sovereignty and controlled immigration are not for The Project's insiders.
