Unconfined

The Government that is standing up to the United States on Huawei, on Iran, on taxing the tech giants, and on Anne Sacoolas, has now moved Julian Assange out of solitary confinement.

What with this and the huge projected investment along the old Red Wall, anyone would think that Jeremy Corbyn had won. At any rate, this is all a very long way from Assange's persecutor, Keir Starmer.

Assange has served his sentence for skipping bail, and the Swedish rape case against him has been dropped. So if the Americans refused to extradite Sacoolas by a given date, then Assange should be released. Would you put that past Boris Johnson? I wouldn't.

I will be standing for Parliament again here at North West Durham next time, so please give generously. In any event, please email davidaslindsay@hotmail.com. Very many thanks.
