The Temple Walls

It is a bit of a culture shock for the Conservatives to have to deal with Catholic rather than Anglican clergy as key points of contact along the Red Wall, but it is incomprehensible to the metropolitan liberal elite to have to do anything remotely like it.

Oliver Kamm's furious bafflement is real. He genuinely has no idea how things work up here. Why would he have? Whereas it is second nature to Rebecca Long-Bailey. Or to Richard Burgon, come to that.

Or, indeed, to me. I will be standing for Parliament again here at North West Durham next time, so please give generously. In any event, please email davidaslindsay@hotmail.com. Very many thanks.

  1. Funny how they think men who enforce Levitical menstrual taboos should have the last word on British politics. No-one ever asks "the Chief Rabbi" or "the Board of Deputies" what they believe in general.
