Getting their excuses in first, "Russian interference" is all over the media. As if we all voted as instructed by Russian advertisements on Facebook, even if there really were any.
Meanwhile, Saudi, Emirati and Israeli interference goes unmentioned, even though that involves the payment of cold, hard cash to politicians and others, no matter how we vote, Facebook or no Facebook. In the Israeli case, at least, that has been caught on film. Yet even then it is still treated as if it never happened.
Another hung Parliament is coming, however, and we need our people to hold the balance of power in it. After nearly 30 years of suggestion, speculation, and even a sort of preparation, I am standing for Parliament here at North West Durham.
