Between "It's this or No Deal" and "It's this or No Brexit", Theresa May might very well win, if not at the third time of asking, then at the fourth.
At which point, why would she stand down at or before the next General Election after all? An incumbent Prime Minister can confect almost any reason to stay in office.
After 10 or even five years of life under her deal, Britain would be begging to be let back into the EU. No doubt that is the point of these atrocious terms.
But take heart. Such readmission would be on any terms that any existing member-state cared to set. And some very interesting places could be in the EU by then.
So the septuagenarian Tony Blair could be off to stand trial in the Belgrade that he had once bombed. There is that.
