Trump versus Sanders will be the second American Presidential Election in a row with no credible candidate for either main party.
Bernie Sanders would have been such a candidate in 2016, but his conduct then means that he cannot be one in 2020.
A second defeat at the hands of Donald Trump would be the end of the Democratic Party.
But a smaller defeat of Sanders than of Hillary Clinton would ensure that whatever came after the Democratic Party was at least an improvement on it.
