The Enemy Within?

In 2015, the Conservatives' safest seat was North East Hampshire. But even there, 5,290 people voted Labour.

6,394 people voted Labour at Maidenhead. 7,229 did so at Esher and Walton. 5,415 did so at Surrey South West. No fewer than 10,191 did so at South Northamptonshire.

Assume, therefore, a bare minimum of five thousand Labour votes per constituency in Great Britain tomorrow.

That would give a bare minimum of 3.16 million people whom the Government, at least for the next 48 hours, honestly, genuinely and sincerely believed to be terrorist sympathisers, if not active terrorists.

At least five thousand of those would be living in any parliamentary constituency that you cared to name. Newbury, say. Or Beaconsfield. Or Arundel and South Downs.

When "Theresa May and Her Team" look out at the country that they govern, and which they aspire to continue to govern for at least another five years, then that is what they see.

Expect them to legislate accordingly.
