Cooper Balls

Would that Andy Burnham, Yvette Cooper, Liz Kendall or Owen Smith were the Leader of the Labour Party, to close that gap of three points.

There are many reasons to have no time for Cooper, a serial warmonger who gave the nation the Work Capability Assessment and the abolition of Income Support.

But she is fatally damaged goods, anyway. Simply as a matter of fact, she will never again be taken seriously.

Many people who narrowly lost their seats in 2015 (and some who did so in 2010, having already tried again once) are seeking to recapture those seats next week.

Ed Balls, however, is not among those people.

There is a reason why Ann Widdecombe does not have a peerage. There is a reason why Ed Balls is not trying to re-enter Parliament.

And there is a reason, or at any rate another reason, why Yvette Cooper is never going to become the Leader of the Labour Party.
