Academic Interest

Or the lack of it.

The Academies programme is so popular that every state school is going to be forced to participate.

      It's not a surprise to the cynics among us, or to those of us with any experience of the nuts and bolts of the education system.

      But Cameron and Gove always said that this would be stormingly popular. It isn't. It now has to be forced on people.

      In any case, it'll never work. These things will all be put back as they were. By genuine popular demand.
