Bradford Blues

All five of Bradford's Respect Councillors have resigned from the party, ostensibly because of George Galloway's intention to stand for Mayor of London, but really because of his opposition to the Sunni Islamist insurrection in and invasion of Syria.

They will probably join the Conservative Party. That is what usually happens. As some of us have been pointing out in considerable depth for several years, it is the Conservative Party that is the fully functioning British political vehicle of the Far Left, of Islamism, and of South Asian communalism.

Bradford West was a Conservative target seat in 2010. Looks like it could be again in 2015.

  1. Wow.

They left over his opposition to war with Syria-but not over his swooning support for Saddam "indefatigability" Hussein, Castro, Robert Mugabe and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

I too oppose intervention in Syria-but describing the murderous tyrant Assad as the "last castle of Arab dignity" is going a bit far, nonetheless.

Have a bit of dignity, Galloway.

As Peter Hitchens late brother once said, Galloway's search for a tyrannical fatherland never ends.

As for the five ex-Respect members-presumably they'll all go and join "Unite Against Fascism" (or "Hope Not Hate") with their Al-Muhajiroun friends.

They're the kind of people who once voted for Ken "Al Muhajiroun" Livingstone.

  2. They will join the Tories. Who will welcome them with open arms. That is what happens.

  3. They'd be more at home in Galloway's old party.

Its full of people like them, who think it's "racist" to oppose multiculturalism.

  4. Ah, thanks for that.

I had been wondering ever since GG was on Question Time how he was going to square his support for Assad with his (predominately) Sunni constituents.
