Acceptable In The Eighties

That old union-buster, Eddie Shah, remains as faithful as ever to the what was then the New Right.

It always wanted to abolish the age of consent. As with its desire to legalise drugs, it largely behaved as if the aspiration were already the actuality, and it invariably turned a blind eye to anyone who did.

Thatcher herself was surrounded by pederasts, and she was strikingly given to securing knighthoods for them: Sir Peter Morrison, Sir Jimmy Savile, Sir Laurens van der Post, and who knows how many more besides.
