"BBC Is London-Obsessed" Shock

How much license-payers' money was spent on this report?

But there must not be separate six o'clock news bulletins for the different parts of the United Kingdom, just as, while the re-regionalisation of ITV is vitally necessary, no quarter whatever must be given last week's proposal that ITV Wales be simply split off from the metropolitan behemoth and made into a sort of English-language version of S4C.

Instead, how about not assuming that every London suburb or Home Counties market town is known intimately to the audience? How about pronouncing Northern place names correctly, and knowing in which county (or even region) those places are? How about not treating Boris Johnson, Ken Livingstone and even Brian Paddick as if they were national figures? You know, little things like that.
