Jolly Voting Weather

I have a suggestion for the Henley by-election. How about the BBC, in particular, doing what it is supposed to do and giving every candidate equal coverage?

The Tories are still crowing about Crewe & Nantwich. All that winning a by-election proves is that the Beeb decided that you were going to win, and reported you as the winner for weeks before a single vote was cast. That's all.

  1. Are we allowed to know who you are putting up in Henley? Surely it would be good to start some name recognition before the European elections?

  2. I don't know how many times I have to repeat that we are not putting up anybody before the European Elections.

  3. Its a sign - at least this by-election is closer to home - why not stand yourself. I am sure local supporters would put you up for three/four weeks until the by-election if party funds are low.

  4. We do have someone very good in East Yorkshire, but David Davis is right on this one. If Labour really won't be putting up, then one of the commentariat supporters of 42 days should do so as an Independent. What are they afraid of?
