What splendid news that Essex County Council is to save the Post Offices being threatened with closure by central government in obedience to neoliberal ideology generally and the EU in particular.
Any further suggestions for municipal action of this kind? Let's see if the mass combination of local government and the use of public money to defend socially necessary facilities from the "free" market can't give the entire Westminster Village a collective heart attack.
But then again, so long a sit doesn't happen in two or three London boroughs, they'd never notice. Making it all the easier for the rest of us just to get on with these things.
So, what are we waiting for? What are you waiting for?
