The Winning Formula

Graham Stringer's question to Brown was unanswerable: why should his constituents in Manchester automatically enjoy far less public spending per head than the inhabitants of a socio-economically identical constituency in Glasgow?

Labour MPs in Scotland should realise (as perhaps they already do) that the replacement of Barnett with something needs-based on a UK-wide basis would be of benefit to their own constituencies, and leave the SNP trying to explain why its well-heeled supporters deserved the money instead.
