In Ontario, California, you can now see Tent City, a daily larger shanty town for those whose homes have been repossessed. Get used to such sights. And not just in Ontario, California.
Yes, America is the heartland of unbridled capitalism. But she was not ever thus. On the contrary, her most spectacular period of economic and other development was while she had a very protected economy indeed.
And she has certainly not been averse to plenty of government action in her day. (That Americans are "suspicious of government" is a myth propagated by those who want to keep down the actual or potential beneficiaries of such schemes.)
It is high time for a return to America's real heritage and culture.
And to our own.
