Last night, on This Week, she expressed her horror that Catholic Cabinet Ministers were listening to the Church at all. Specifically, the discussion was about the horrific Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill. But that wasn't what she said.

So, Sister Diane, was or is that also your view of the Catholic Church's role in Jubilee 2000? Or in opposing the Iraq War? Or in coining the very term "social justice"?

Or in promoting adult stem cell research, which actually works, unlike embryonic stem cell "research", which doesn't? Or in spreading the only approach to AIDS in Africa that actually does any good, the others being founded on vicious assumptions about your own sex and about people who look more than a little like you (indeed, to whom you might very well be related)?
