George Bush has vetoed the Bill to ban the admission of “evidence” obtained by various torture techniques. Well, let the American courts admit it to Bush’s heart’s content, then. Sooner or later, they will realise that such “evidence” is completely worthless, because people under such conditions will say absolutely anything at all in order to get out of them.
But by the time that this realisation finally hits them, then it will be too late, simply because of the nature of the event that would compel them to face up to that fact. And who will be responsible for that event? George Bush, that’s who.
Can you be impeached after leaving office for things that you did while in it? If so, then here is a third charge to add to the sheet, on top of the Iraq War and the national emergency of illegal immigration.

..."Waterboarding has been used on only three detainees". per CIA Director Michael Hayden.
ReplyDelete..."The circumstances are different than they were in late 2001, early 2002," Hayden said. "Very critical to those circumstances was the belief that additional catastrophic attacks against the homeland were imminent. In addition to that, my agency ... had limited knowledge about al Qaeda and its workings. Those two realities have changed."
***Hayden told reporters later that the interrogations of Mohammed and Zubaydah were particularly fruitful.***
Gosh!! The CIA Waterboarded 3 terorists... Bush has to be impeached...
He should be for the other two reasons given, anyway.
ReplyDeleteBut yes, when the admission of this "evidence" results in loss of life, then that will be a third charge to add.
