Donald Trump has blinked first. The penguins have beaten him. That says it all about the Democrats, who could not.

And however little I may think of a Britain with a giant theme park but no steel industry, I do seem to recall that no one was going to invest in this country after it had left the EU, or if it had remained out of the Single Market and the Customs Union in the second Trump term.
