Julian Calendar

A Very Happy Birthday to Julian Assange. He is a Commonwealth citizen who is not serving a term of imprisonment either in the United Kingdom or in the Republic of Ireland, so he is eligible to contest an election to the British House of Commons from anywhere in the world. Either Priti Patel's seat or Keir Starmer's would do, and Starmer's would probably be easier for Assange to be the First Past the Post.

If I were Angela Rayner, and that was not a line that I had ever expected to write, then I would be preparing to take a Fixed Penalty Notice on the chin and resign as Deputy Leader while Starmer gave it the full London silk before a Bench of Magistrates in County Durham. When that ended predictably, then she would be set fair to stand for Leader as the woman of integrity.

    1. Julian Assange MP, of course.

The Left should stay out of it. How did it work out for us the last time that we won? And this time, we would never even get onto the ballot.
