Take Heed That Ye Be Not Deceived

The Defendant must not:

1. Contact by any means electronic or otherwise or post online concerning the Chief Constable of Durham Police or any of the 57 Councillors named in the letters which were the subject of the Crown Court case at Durham.

2. Contact by any means including electronic or otherwise or to post or name the witnesses from the USA or any of the American Law Enforcement Officers involved in this case.

3. Post or comment on any social media site or send electronically or otherwise any communication to to any other person anonymously or by using a pseudonym.

That's it. Do not contact or name someone whose name I do not know. Do not contact or name 57 people who are in some cases no longer in public life, so long did my case go on. Do not contact or name two people for whom I have no contact details, neither of whom I have ever met, and one of whose names I had completely forgotten, if I ever knew it. And do not do something that I do not know how to do, if it can be done at all.

I am not in prison. Get over it. If that makes your own position untenable, then resign that position. Undoubtedly, there are people who can never again expect to be taken seriously, having devoted three years to the failed pursuit of my incarceration. They know who they are. Anyone wondering about my community service should demonstrate how seriously they themselves deserved to be taken by making a Freedom of Information Request.

Once funds permitted, then there would be an appeal against my conviction. I am prepared to devote the rest of my life to that cause. More immediately, between now and Thursday 6th May 2021, it is imperative that the Labour Party lose every seat on Durham County Council. I am sorry to have to say that about several old and dear friends, but here we are. Ward by ward, please vote for whoever was best placed to defeat the Labour Party.

But there will be no option to vote for me. If I have any remaining ambition in that direction, then it is twofold. To ensure that no constituency containing Lanchester, or bearing the name of North West Durham, ever again returned a Labour MP. And to ensure that the Labour Party first lost, and then never regained, any share in the control of Durham County Council. For either of those, I would be prepared to die in the last ditch. But not by killing myself with an election campaign.
