The Labour Right’s hypocrisy is its only charm, but David Lammy is becoming ridiculous. When he says that he does not want to be on a new commission into inequality, then he speaks only for himself.
There are plenty of us who could speak for equality and diversity as economic equality and class diversity, as regional equality and regional diversity, as the equal sovereignty of diverse states, and as equal respect for diverse opinions within a framework of free speech and other civil liberties, including due process of law and the presumption of innocence, which in turn requires that conviction be beyond reasonable doubt.
We recognise that social solidarity is an expression of personal responsibility, that personal responsibility is protected by social solidarity, that international solidarity is an expression of national sovereignty, and that national sovereignty is protected by international solidarity.
We uphold family and community values by seeking to secure economic equality and international peace through the democratic political control of the means to those ends, including national and parliamentary sovereignty.
We are ready, willing and able to speak for, from and to our families, our communities and our country. At least up to 300 hours, some of us could do it for only the train fares. Like a lot of people, I was convicted by an all-white jury that would have acquitted a white defendant on the same evidence. We are exactly the people who must be heard.
Overtly racist actions are still being pursued against me by the Crown Prosecution Service in its capacity as an enforcement agency of the racist right-wing Labour machine, and as part of that machine's close alliance with the racist liberal wing of the Catholic Church.

Be at the table, or be on the menu.
