Money Back Guarantee?

First Northern Ireland, and now us. Is Theresa May a closet Modern Monetary Theorist? Or even an out and proud Modern Monetary Theorist?

Yes, these are the areas that swung the result of the EU referendum, and which then elected Labour MPs, as usual or as always, the following year. Without us, then Remain would have won, as the shell-shocked Leave campaign had clearly expected it to do.

We voted Leave as a rejection of 39 years of failure under all three parties, beginning with the Callaghan Government's turn to monetarism in 1977, the year of my birth. We looked up our wealth and power at the point of accession in 1973, then we looked at our wealth and power in 2016, and the question answered itself. Had it not done so, then there would have been no Brexit.

But if there was already the money to help us, and we have always maintained that there was, then we ought to have been having it anyway. We ought to have been having it for 40 years. Instead, over that period, all three parties betrayed us, failed us, and robbed us. Most of the MPs in each of them are as bad as they have ever been.

Another hung Parliament is coming, however, and we need our people to hold the balance of power in it. It has become a local commonplace that I am on 30-30-30 with Labour and the Conservatives here at North West Durham, so that any one of us could be the First Past the Post. I will stand for this seat, if I can raise the £10,000 necessary to mount a serious campaign. Please email davidaslindsay@hotmail.com. Very many thanks.
