In opposing Jeremy Corbyn's Motion of No Confidence, Theresa May has just delivered the most utterly Blairite speech to have been delivered by a leading British politician in a good 10 years. Do look it up once the text is available. And her own benches cheered it to the echo. Well, of course they did. Most of the other side will also have wanted to do so.
Another hung Parliament is coming, however, and we need our people to hold the balance of power in it. It has become a local commonplace that I am on 30-30-30 with Labour and the Conservatives here at North West Durham, so that any one of us could be the First Past the Post.
