The Hard Left is not pacifist, it is Hard.
And it is not isolationist, it is Left; indeed, it has been concerned with Asia, Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean and the Pacific for far longer, and in far greater depth, than anyone else in British politics.
Now that it is a major force, understanding this is absolutely vital to understanding it.
