Unwelcome Arrangements

"A Birmingham councillor who helped to organise pro-China crowds in London during last week’s state visit of President Xi Jinping has come under fire in the House of Commons.

"Alex Yip, Conservative councillor for Sutton New Hall, helped organise “welcoming arrangements” for the Chinese President.

"And he can be seen standing in the background of a video showing a cyclist who stopped to challenge pro-China demonstrators about the country’s human rights record."
