The Horse's Mouth

Politically the best-connected eugenicist in the world, the man whom this Government had wanted to put in charge of the entire university sector, rushes to defend a regular speaker at his London Conference on Intelligence, which is chillingly hosted by the world class University College London.

These people are everywhere. It is inconceivable that St Edmund's College, Cambridge did not know what Noah Carl had written when it appointed him. An institution that could appoint him would have no reason not to appoint Ed Dutton (with whom I was at university, which is why I laugh out loud at the idea of such a specimen as a member of the master race), or Aurelio Figueredo, or Paul Irwing, or Richard Lynn, or Gerhard Meisenberg, or Edward M. Miller, or Jan te Nijenhuis, or Helmuth Nyborg, or Heiner Rindermann.

An institution that could appoint any of those would have no reason not to appoint Emil Kirkegaard, that advocate of the rape of drugged children. And an institution that could appoint Kirkegaard would have no reason not to appoint the political patron of the lot of them, the self-confessed sexual assailant and supplier of Class A drugs, the man who has dictated schools policy throughout the present decade, the man whom this Government tried to give control of the entire university sector, Toby Young.

Freedom of speech may be exercised anywhere. It is a different matter to suggest that an academic institution, and a Catholic one at that (the Cardinal Archbishop of Westminster remains the Visitor of St Edmund's College), should give a formal, public and paid position to a figure from that terrifyingly well-connected little world. We seem to have a Government for that.

Another hung Parliament is coming, however, and we need our people to hold the balance of power in it. It has become a local commonplace that I am on 30-30-30 with Labour and the Conservatives here at North West Durham, so that any one of us could be the First Past the Post. I will stand for this seat, if I can raise the £10,000 necessary to mount a serious campaign. Please email davidaslindsay@hotmail.com. Very many thanks.
