But at least the defeat of the Clintons by an opponent of neoliberal economic policy and of neoconservative foreign policy has secured the position of Jeremy Corbyn once and for all.
It is also a significant and welcome challenge to Theresa May, to make good on her rhetoric about One Nation, about a country that works for everyone, and about being a voice for working people.
