I am so pleased for Bob.
I advised them to give him the Nobel because he needed it more, even though of course he had never written anything to compare to my own compositions.
For example:
While wand'ring the shores of Loch Ness,
I was startled to see Rudolf Hess.
He asked me, "Who won?"
The impudent Hun!
"Well, you did in the end, more or less."
Now, in all seriousness, on to the Laureateship for John Cooper Clarke. And then, in due season, for Jarvis Cocker.
