Bowl Them Out

Durham County Council's Cabinet has unanimously agreed the ECB's bailout for Durham County Cricket Club, where the senior Councillors and Officers have a private box.

But they are still sacking the Teaching Assistants, in order to reappoint them on a 23 per cent pay cut.

Bring on May's elections.

    1. The latter, I find. People to whom I have never spoken now come up to me in the street and ask about it. Others, who are clearly not readers of this site, ask me if I am going to do it. Yes, I am.

    1. Yes. I am.

I thought you'd moved to London, anyway? You'll be back, of course. And I'll be here to laugh at you again.

    2. It's good to have you back. It was good to see you at the St. Bede's 50th anniversary Mass and buffet a week ago, too. Next on the list, getting you back there. Most of the serving governors didn't turn up.
