As Natalie McGarry's position becomes increasingly untenable, George Galloway has let it be known that he would contest the Glasgow East by-election.

From whatever point on the political spectrum, Galloway's name tops the list of those who are not currently in Parliament but without whom Parliament is somehow just not quite right.

Wherever he next stands for Parliament, I dare Oliver Kamm to put up against him.
