Standard Life, Indeed

Standard Life employs five thousand people in Scotland.

Scotland has a  total population, by no means all of it of working age, of only five million.

One in every thousand people in Scotland, including children and the elderly, is an employee of Standard Life.

That gives some insight into the sheer size of the financial services sector within the Scottish economy.

An economy which, since there is no question of a currency union, would be left by independence without a lender of last resort.

Better Together, indeed.
