I recall the story, although the man himself denies it, that Tom Lehrer gave up satire when the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to Henry Kissinger.

Armando Iannucci must be feeling that way after this.

I write this despite, or perhaps on account of, having a soft spot for Grant Shapps.

He was one of the first people ever to follow me on Twitter, and he quite recently resumed doing so. In the first instance, I have no idea how he had ever heard of me.
